1. Who we are

Text2Store is a desktop application developed and owned by Aloha Gems LLC ("Aloha Gems", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, form the agreement (the "Terms") between you and Aloha Gems governing the Text2Store app (the "App") and the website at text2store.com (the "Site").

2. Your agreement

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using the App or Site, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) and able to enter into a binding contract. If you are using Text2Store on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use Text2Store.

3. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, Aloha Gems grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on computers you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes. Paid features remain available under your licence, which does not expire. Free features never require a purchase.

You may not: (a) resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law or permitted by an open-source license covering a specific component; (c) remove or alter any proprietary notices; (d) circumvent sign-in or activation mechanisms; or (e) use the App to build a competing product.

4. Authorized use only

Text2Store is a tool for backing up and reviewing your own data or data you are legally authorized to access. It requires physical possession of the device and its passcode or an unlocked, trusted computer. You agree to use Text2Store only with devices and backups that you own or have explicit permission to access.

You may not use Text2Store to access, monitor, or surveil another person's device or communications without their knowledge and lawful authority. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use complies with all applicable laws, including privacy, wiretapping, and data-protection laws in your jurisdiction. Misuse of the App is a breach of these Terms and may be unlawful.

5. Sign-in & activation

Paid features are unlocked by signing in with the email address you used at purchase: the App asks our licensing service to email you a short sign-in code, and once verified this computer stays signed in. The App periodically re-checks your licence with our service so that a refunded or revoked licence stops unlocking paid features. A one-time licence does not expire, and the check is designed to keep working offline for long periods.

We do not cap the number of iPhones or iPads you back up, or the number of your own computers you sign in on. Sign-ins are recorded so we can detect abuse: sharing your account access with people outside your household or organization is a breach of these Terms and may result in access being revoked.

6. Purchases & the reseller

Prices are listed on our Pricing page in US dollars and may change over time; the price shown at checkout is the price that applies to your order. Applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout based on your location. We do not store your full payment-card details; those are handled by Paddle.

One-time purchase. Text2Store is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no recurring charge, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. Your licence does not expire, and it covers every iPhone, iPad and computer you own for your personal or internal business use. We may at our discretion offer separately-priced major products in future, but your licence to the App as purchased remains valid.

AI credits. AI summaries are metered in credits. Your purchase includes a starting allocation, and additional credits may be bought in packs. Credits do not expire, are not a currency, have no cash value, and are not transferable between accounts. Everything else in the App is unlimited and requires no credits.

7. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your Text2Store purchase, counted from the date of that charge. AI credits are consumable: a credit pack you have not spent any credits from can be refunded within 14 days of that charge, and refunding it removes those credits without affecting your licence, but credits that have already been spent are not refundable. Refund requests and processing are described in, and governed by, our Refund Policy, and are handled through Paddle as Merchant of Record.

8. Intellectual property

The App, the Site, and all related content, trademarks, logos, and design (excluding third-party and open-source components) are owned by Aloha Gems LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the App; they do not transfer any ownership to you. "Text2Store" and the Text2Store logo are marks of Aloha Gems LLC.

9. Third-party & open-source components

Text2Store includes third-party and open-source software, each governed by its own license. Where a component is licensed under a copyleft license (such as the GPL), your rights in that component are provided under that license, and the corresponding source code is made available as required. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under, or overrides, any applicable open-source license.

10. Optional AI features

Text2Store offers two optional AI features: AI Summary, which summarizes a conversation you choose, and Ask Your Messages, which answers questions about your archive and cites the messages each answer came from. Both are metered in credits as described in Section 6: a summary or a question uses one credit, and very large summaries use a few more. Neither runs automatically, and you can turn either off.

What leaves your computer depends on what you ask for. A summary sends the conversation you selected. A question sends the messages selected to answer it, together with your last few questions and answers from that session, so that follow-up questions make sense. Building the search index that finds those messages happens entirely on your computer and sends nothing.

In both cases the content goes through our service, which relays it to Google Gemini (Google Cloud's Vertex AI) and does not store or log it. Google does not use your content to train its models and does not store it after answering; it processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. Attachments are never sent.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit the content you choose to send (see Section 4). Summaries and answers are assistive, may be inaccurate, and are never part of a verified export. Answers cite the messages they drew on so you can check them against the originals. Your questions and answers are saved on your computer so you can return to them, and you can clear them at any time in the app's settings.

Text2Store also uses EmbeddingGemma, a text embedding model from Google that runs entirely on your computer to build the search index behind AI question answering. The model is not part of the installer: if it is not already on your computer when you turn the feature on, the app tells you and downloads it once, from our servers, and it stays on your computer from then on. The download carries no message content in either direction. Because the model runs locally, the messages it reads are not sent anywhere. It is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use, a copy of which is included with the app. Your use of that feature is also subject to the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, and you agree not to use the feature in any manner that policy prohibits. Google does not endorse Text2Store and is not affiliated with it.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, that it will capture or preserve every message or attachment, or that it will meet your requirements.

Text2Store is a tool, not a backup service or a guarantee. You are responsible for verifying that a backup or export is complete and for keeping your own additional copies of any data that matters to you. Text2Store does not provide legal advice; a "verified export" is a feature that documents an export's contents and does not guarantee admissibility or acceptance by any court, agency, or third party.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aloha Gems LLC and its owners and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App or Site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to Text2Store will not exceed the greater of the price you paid for the App and the total amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aloha Gems LLC from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of Text2Store or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right, including any use of Text2Store to access data you were not authorized to access.

14. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use Text2Store. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, you must stop using the App and delete it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive. Because Text2Store stores data locally on your computer, terminating your license does not delete the backups you have already created.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Material changes take effect when posted; your continued use of Text2Store after that constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
